About

Welcome to Starlit Studio! Han Christ is a contemporary artist based in Southern California, specializing in acrylic, oil and pastel paintings. Her work captures the interplay of light and dark, expressed through the dynamic interplay of colors, lines, and fluidity.

Han began her artistic journey at a young age, inspired by her father, a painter and classical guitarist. She immigrated from Vietnam nearly four decades ago. Amid the upheaval of starting a new life, she found solace in the creative process.

Han earned a degree in Art History from the University of California, Berkeley, where her academic foundation shaped her appreciation for artistic expression. Following graduation, she pursued a career in corporate marketing, a path that temporarily redirected her creative energies. However, the pandemic marked a turning point, reigniting her artistic passion after a 17-year hiatus and inspiring her return to the art world with renewed purpose and vision.

Exploring themes of growth, transformation, and the inherent beauty and the human condition, Han's art is a reflection of the evocative power of color and form. Her pieces are created to bring joy and inspire contemplation. Her paintings have been featured in galleries, earned awards, and garnered recognition as "Best in Show."

Starlit Studio is a tribute to her younger self, a dreamer who found comfort under the night sky. The stars provided a sense of continuity during those early days of transition and they were a reminder to continue dreaming.

Currently, Han is focused on a new series reconnecting with her roots and delving into her experiences in Vietnam. She continues to innovate and exhibit her work, contributing a fresh perspective to the contemporary art scene.
