About

Welcome to Starlit Studio! Han Christ is the artist behind the artwork. Han Christ is a contemporary artist based in Southern California, specializing in acrylic and pastel paintings. Han explores the juxtaposition of light and dark, captured by the dynamic interplay between contrasting colors, and lines and fluidity.

Han began her artistic journey at a young age, inspired by her father, a painter and classical guitarist. She immigrated from Vietnam nearly four decades ago. Amid the upheaval of starting a new life, she found solace in the creative process. She studied at the University of California, Berkeley where she earned a degree in Art History.

After college, Han embarked on a career in corporate marketing, temporarily stepping away from her artistic pursuits. During the pandemic, she reflected on what brought fulfillment to her life, leading to a profound reawakening of her creative spirit. After a 17-year hiatus, Han returned to the art world with renewed inspiration.

Han's work has been exhibited in several galleries and has received an award at the San Diego County Fine Art Exhibition. Her art has been featured in art publications, and she has shared her artistic journey on a leadership podcast.

Exploring themes of growth, transformation, and the inherent beauty and chaos of the human condition, Han's art is a reflection of the evocative power of color and form. Her pieces are created to bring joy and inspire contemplation.

Starlit Studio is a tribute to her younger self, a dreamer who found comfort under the night sky. The stars provided a sense of continuity during those early days of transition and they were a reminder to continue dreaming.

Currently, Han is focused on a new series of acrylic pour paintings, delving deeper into the abstract representation of floral motifs. She continues to innovate and exhibit her work, contributing a fresh perspective to the contemporary art scene.
